Her Softer Side :: Carlene {Allan & Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Allan and I recently captured the softer side of Carlene Steenekamp, 2008 East Tennessee Figure Champion, during an early morning session at UT Gardens. Carlene was looking for some fresh images that would focus on her femininity, an element lacking in photos taken during a figure competition. Carlene has a vivacious personality and we have tremendous fun every time we photograph her.

I couldn't resist getting a shot of Carlene in front of this sculpture. This image speaks volumes about Carlene...she really is the "Queen of Everything": she's a wonderful and loving wife, a fabulous mom to three beautiful children; owner and fitness and wellness coach of Mommy's Body, specializing fitness and nutritional coaching for prenatal and postnatal women; a fitness column writer and the 2008 East Tennessee Figure Champion. Fast Dogs {Allan & Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Allan and I loaded up the Prius with cameras, tripods and the big lenses and traveled to Calhoun, GA on Sunday to photograph dogs practicing lure coursing at the invitation of our friend and fellow photographer, Julie Poole. Julie and her husband, Larry, brought along their three whippets- McGuire, Dot and Cinnamon. There were all kinds of dogs at this event- large, small, young and mature. We had a great time and hope to have the opportunity to do it again. Thanks to the members of GANG for welcoming us and letting us spend the day with you! Enjoy!

There is something so refreshing about a one-year-old's birthday party. He has no cares, no concerns and isn't bothered if he's wet, sticky or dirty. Take a moment and remember what it's like to be one. Enjoy!
