Happy New Year to you! Allan and I took a few days off at the end of the year to relax and enjoy time with friends and family, but we're back and ready to capture your special moments in 2012. Here are some images to get the new year started!

For the past couple of years Allan and I have enjoyed giving back to the community through our photography by providing The Salvation Army of Knoxville, TN with images from some of their events. Again this year we documented Distribution Day held on December 17th in a former grocery store in North Knoxville. Many of the volunteers helping out this year were students from Catholic High School and Webb School of Knoxville and they really had a great time gathering the items to be distributed to each family being helped by The Salvation Army.

Danielle | Portrait of a Hippie, teacher, artist and signal-booster

Sometimes you meet people and you just know they are smart, fun and awesome. That's what I thought the first time I met Kate Jones. A little over a year ago Kate had moved from Colorado to Tennessee with her cats and all her potions and cauldrons to create her amazing crap free soaps and balms at Om Shanti Naturals and I was one of the first people she met. OK, maybe she didn't have cauldrons. Over the past year I have gotten to spend time with and know Kate and her famous cat, Loiosh.

Once day earlier this summer, I met Danielle Nelson who was visiting Kate from Buffalo, NY. And guess what? I thought the same thing about her. Smart, fun and awesome! Well, Danielle recently came back to Knoxville to teach a workshop for the Knoxville Creative Hands Street Team, chat about social media on 11 O'Clock Rock over at Knox ivi and visit with Kate. I knew it would be great fun to photograph Danielle so I convinced her to meet me before the workshop for some fun in the Old City.

Well, we had fun. Lots of fun. And we also had rain. Lots of rain. So here are some of the images Allan and I captured in the rain, the puddles and the alleyways around our stomping grounds. Next Level Photography Focus Group | Connect - Learn - Share

After posting this late last night, I realized it was one of the most lackluster posts ever written. Nothing I said about the Next Level Photography Focus Group was compelling enough to make you want to leave the comfort of a cozy cubicle or the blanketed warmness of your couch and come join a motley group of photographers for some mediocre sushi twice a month, and I apologize for that. Our group really is a lot of fun and there are a lot of local photographers who have benefited from our somewhat long-winded meet-ups. I personally block out 11:30am to 3pm on the first and third Wednesday of each month so I make sure we don't schedule any other appointments and miss the meet-up.

So before I let you read the original post, I want to point out that this group was established for the reasons stated in the title - Connect - Share - Learn, but it was the sharing part that got it all started. People who wanted to learn about photography were frustrated that nobody would answer their questions and photographers were often frustrated with the people asking the questions. So we decided the best solution was to give everyone time to meet for a glorified question and answer session where everyone shares something. You are allowed to Google your sharing so it's not that hard. Read on for more information, and thanks for letting me attempt to make this post slightly more interesting...

Three years ago Allan and I established the Next Level Photography Focus Group {NLPFG}along with Dee Pinckard {who loves to photograph his grandchildren and sunsets in warm climates} and Tom Geisler {who is a wedding photographer and teaches Fundamentals I & II in UT's Personal and Professional Development program} as a means for everyone from full-time professional photographers to the weekend enthusiast to connect, learn and most of all, share. In the beginning participants were asked to share something on the weekly topic or risk being 'voted off the island', but as time went on and the group grew, the rules relaxed in an effort to give those who wanted to share on the topic time to talk. Our topics range from business to how-to's and attendance fluctuates from 8 to over 30 depending on the topic and the time of year.

I have never taken the time to write much about the Group, which strikes me as odd because it is such an important part of my life and has brought together a great number of people, many of whom have gone on to start a photography business of their own. Partnerships amongst the members have also been forged, business ideas have spouted and new streams of revenue have emerged as a result of NLPFG. Someone once told me other photographers called NLPFG a 'clique' and although I know what they meant, they are quite right. There is certainly a lot of 'clicking' going on this this group both with cameras and with the members!

If you live in the Knoxville area and want to connect with fellow photographers of all levels, learn more about the photography fundamentals and business and share your knowledge on the subjects you love, then you need to see what NLPFG is all about. We meet the first and third Wednesday of every month at Makino Japanese Buffet on Kingston Pike {near Chuck E. Cheese} at 12pm in the back room. For a long time, we would hold a monthly evening meeting, but that became difficult to coordinate so now we suggest everyone participate in the Knoxville SMUG User Group {you don't need to actually use SmugMug}evening meet-ups. They are a lot of fun and offer the same opportunities to connect, learn and share.

Kaite | She Wears Her Art on Her Sleeve

Right around Christmas we were at the Hooter's down the street taking a break between sessions and while we were waiting for our lunch, I noticed Kaite and her amazing sleeve of tattoos. I sort of kept staring at her and finally had Allan go out to the car to grab a copy of One Eighty Magazine so I could explain why I was staring at her. Allan and I have been shooting the Illustrated Girl for One Eighty Magazine for several months and I am always on the lookout for new girls. Kaite was only in town for a few more days {she's in the US Navy and currently stationed in San Diego, CA} but was really excited to work with me because she would love to break into modeling for tattoo magazines and the like. She was full of energy and we had a lot of fun working together. Here are some of my favorite images from our session. We hope to see her gracing the pages of magazines one day soon!

Allan and I are thrilled to announce the launch of ALM Photo's new division, Velvet {Boudoir Photography}. We've done boudoir photography all along, but felt it was time to create a separate division to give Velvet {Boudoir Photography} its own identity and blog site. Plus we really just loved the name and couldn't resist creating a fresh, sexy identity. Lisa will be the primary photographer for all boudoir sessions even though many clients don't mind having a male photographer capturing their sexier side. The Great Gingerbread Village Giveaway of 2010

Allan and I have been involved with Fantasy of Trees for several years in the children's activity area Santa Hats. This year Santa Hats was strategically placed right across from Gingerbread Village and we spent five days looking at the houses and admiring their beauty and the skill with which they were crafted. {OK, so we were actually salivating until we remembered these aren't crafted to be eaten.} Needless to say when Sunday rolled around and we started tear-down there were still a number of gingerbread houses available which were being sold at a discount to the FOT volunteers. Allan and I discussed purchasing one but decided we didn't have any place to put it where it would it could be viewed and appreciated and safe from the 'appreciation' of the animals.

In the end, we decided to purchase a gingerbread village with a specific purpose in mind. We decided to donate the village to a charitable organization/group/place based on your votes. You get to choose who will be the recipient of The Great Gingerbread Village Giveaway of 2010. Giveaway details follow the photos...

Isn't it beautiful? The village is complete with church, two houses, a Christmas tree, igloo, pond with ducks, dog digging in the snow, snowmen and so much more. Every time I look at it, I see something I didn't notice before. It is truly amazing and sure to be loved by all ages.

Here's how the giveaway is going to work: The votes must be made as comments to this blog or as a comment to the Facebook blog post and the charitable entity with the most votes will receive the gingerbread village next week. Illustrated Girls | One Eighty Magazine

Allan and I have shot several Illustrated Girls for Storm Taylor's One Eighty Magazine this past year and I don't think we've ever shared them on the blog. These photo shoots are a team effort with Allan addressing the technical aspects of lighting and me working with the models to get great expressions and poses and of course, push the shutter button on the camera. I love seeing everything evolve from behind the lens. The way the shadows change when the lights are moved to accentuate the models curves and tattoos is so beautiful. These are just some of the shots and I'll post more again soon.

Swim | Bike | Run | Photographing a Triathlon {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Rain, corn fields, old school rap on the iPod. That's what I remember most about the 9+ hour drive from Knoxville to Sandusky, Ohio. Allan and I headed North on 75 early Saturday morning to meet up with several other photographers to photograph the Revolution 3 triathlon for Dan Hicok Photography. Allan had shot the Rev 3 triathlon in Knoxville for Dan in May, but this would be my first time shooting for him. Saturday evening we received our assignments for Sunday and I was excited to learn I would be photographing the athletes completing their swim and then head over to the finish line, after a break, to capture the athletes crossing the line in Cedar Point amusement park. Allan was assigned to the early portion of the bike ride and would then join me at the finish line. All I can say is that I had a great time {and I think Allan did too!}. Congratulations to all the athletes!

Allan and I got up early and braved the rain to photograph the Robert L. Mueller Memorial Golf Tournament, which is held at Willow Creek Country Club and put on by Parkwest in honor of Allan's dad. Laurel : Take Two | Boudoir {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Have you ever been fascinated by the way light shines into a particular room in your home? If you are a photographer, I bet you have. During the winter I {Lisa} became obsessed with the light coming into our west-facing bedroom window and, over several days at different times of the day, photographed pieces of my fused glass art in this light and, pleased with the results, decided I needed to shoot a boudoir session in there. Light this sexy needs to be put to good use!

The dreamy bedroom setting is perfect for boudoir- the light is creamy streaming through the sheer curtains, the walls are a soft coral and the wood is a warm pine. I chose to photograph Laurel, who you will recognize from the glamorous session with the fierce make-up, in this setting. It's definitely a softer, sexier look for her. Then we headed outside and spiced it up a bit {you'll see!} before capturing a couple of romantic frames of Laurel with her boyfriend and fellow photographer, Kendrick.

Sticks and Stones :: Xing at UT Gardens {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Allan and I had so much fun photographing adorable 3 1/2 year old Xing at UT Gardens. Her mom, Lisa, knows Allan and used to work with one of his sisters and, after reconnecting through Facebook, booked us to photograph her beautiful little girl while they were in Knoxville visiting family and friends. Lisa was concerned that Xing would be too shy and it would not be easy for us to photograph her, so imagine our surprise when, 2 hours and four wardrobe changes later, we were all having a wonderful time and capturing lots of great shots. She was a bundle of energy and loved playing with the stones along the pathways and collected a bucketful, which we had to ceremoniously dump before leaving the Gardens and at one point found a rather fascinating stick to wield. Later, at lunch, she asked her mom, 'Where are my friends?'. When Lisa told told us this it made the session even more special.

A couple of days later we met with Xing, her parents and her grandmother for a viewing session before they headed back home and they all had a very hard time choosing their favorite images. Here are some of our favorites that really show how much fun we all had that day. Enjoy!

As his godparents, we have a special interest in capturing images of him during the first year, but we give all our Baby Bundle clients the same attention. Well, almost the same attention...we do hold the slightly biased opinion that Caleb is one of the most adorable babies ever. But that's the only difference. Really.

Two Cute :: Twins Turn One {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Allan and I were photographing an AKC lure coursing event over four days a couple of weeks ago, but I left him alone in the hot sun for a few hours on Saturday and escaped to photograph an air-conditioned birthday party for twins celebrating their first birthday. Shout Out to Sandbars Coastal Cooks {Lisa Mueller | Allan Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Allan and I spent four (and a half) long, hot 90+ degree days in a field with very little shade photographing an AKC Lure Coursing Trial event in Powell, Tennessee. As you can imagine, at the end of every day we were very tired, hungry and thirsty and on Saturday we were thrilled to see the Sandbars Coastal Cooks' van roll in on a cloud of dust and set up their tents and start cooking. From my upwind vantage point in the middle of the field I had no idea what sort of tasty treat awaited us, but when I ventured over I was overwhelmed by the awesome aroma of a creole shrimp boil complete with tasty peel-and-eat shrimp, corn on the cob and potatoes. Allan and I were really tired and needed to download the 3000 images we shot that day, so we purchased to meals to go and after cracking open a frosty beer I proceeded to dig in to this absolutely delicious meal. I was not at all surprised by the tastiness or quality of this meal. I just knew Kevin and Robby were serving up something special. They are a couple of really nice guys who let me take some photographs of them hard at work when they returned on Sunday to serve up standard lunch fare as well as a fish fry for dinner. Allan passed on the fish dinner and he missed out on an opportunity to experience a fabulous meal. The fish was flaky, the hushpuppies were divine and the pineapple cole slaw was a sweet surprise. Sadly, I did not take a photo of either one of my meals.

Monday morning I was out in the middle of field again and thought I saw a guy that looked a lot like Kevin wandering around and sure enough it was. He was there to take orders for lunch! Allan and I had packed our lunch like we had every other day and I was tempted to try out the hamburger, but we passed. I am confident we will have another opportunity to enjoy a meal prepared by Sandbars Coastal Cooks...I just hope it is soon!

High Fashion Downtown {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Allan and I spent quite a bit of time in downtown Knoxville on Thursday, April 8th. We were there early in the morning to set up the Sassy Glass Studio tent for the Dogwood Arts Festival Market Square Art Fair and then later that same day to take photographs at Salon Visage and at the Knoxville Habitat for Humanity 2010 Boutique Sale and Fashion Show. We were asked by Belinda, owner of Salon Visage and Ali, one of her stylists, to donate our time and talent to photograph the models getting ready at the salon on Market Square and then head over to the Farragut Building on Gay Street to shoot the fashion show.

The weather had been terrible all day, especially in the morning when it rained buckets while we set-up the tent, but the showers ceased and the sun came out shortly after we arrived at the salon.

After the last model headed down the runway, Allan and I packed up our cameras and headed across the street to Krutch Park extension to finish setting up for the Art Fair. It was a long day, but we had a fabulous time at the fashion show and all the models and stylists (some did double-duty as both!) were fun to work with. I did grab a couple of tiny cupcakes on my way out the door so it was a perfect night!

Super Surprising Wednesday {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Today was full of wonderful surprises. The first surprise was the gorgeous weather. Even though the forecast called for sunshine and warm temperatures we were surprised it was such a perfect day. The second surprise was lunch. Allan and I ventured into the Mechanicsville section of downtown Knoxville to meet several photography friends for lunch. We have never visited this part of town and weren't sure what to expect but the minute we pulled up to 501 Arthur we knew it would be a fabulous experience. The building immediately reminded me of New Orleans with it's black scroll ironwork and upstairs covered balcony and I would learn shortly after arriving that a previous owner, who operated a store and small restaurant, was from NOLA. We were invited to lunch by Tinah Utsman, who was accompanied by Lindsay, a budding photographer, and later joined by fellow photographer Bryan Allen (BA).

The inside of 501 Arthur was even more interesting than the outside. Everywhere I looked there was art.

We commandeered the largest table in the restaurant and ordered cold drinks- lemonade and iced tea. There is an old-fashioned cooler full of every kind of soda imaginable. It took Allan and I a few minutes to read the menu and make a choice since everything sounded delicious.

Lunch was filled with lively conversation and before we knew it everyone was getting up to leave. Allan and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals- I had the chef salad accompanied by delicious bread and a cup of tomato bisque and Allan managed a Firehouse sandwich, aptly named for the neighboring fire station. Unique and filling! After paying our tabs and chatting with Mike, the owner, for a few moments we headed outside to enjoy the sunshine.

Mike is now the proud owner of a Sassy Glass Studio business card!

Mike and another guy named Mike both rode their motorcycles to 501 Arthur and I couldn't resist capturing a few photos including one of Tinah vamping for the camera.

Lindsay loves color!

Emmanuel waited on us when we first arrived and before we left he hopped up on Mike's motorcycle and posed for me.

This was a perfect lunch on a perfect day. We can't wait to go back to 501 Arthur again soon!

Allan and I are blessed and excited to be a part of newborn Caleb's life. We were thrilled when we were asked to be his godparents, or The Godfather and Fairy Godmother as I like to call us. Caleb's parents, Brandi and Boone were friends with Allan before I ever met Allan and we have been a part of their life from dating to engagement to wedding to expecting their first child and now his birth. We've captured their life through the lens every step of the way and will be photographing Caleb's official newborn session in the next few days, but wanted to share some images from the first time we laid eyes on him. It was love at first sight!

Hannah {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Don't let obstacles get in your way.

That's what Hannah taught us during her session last week. It wasn't that she ever said it out loud, it was based solely on what she did. She did what we want everyone to do, come to the studio and have us capture beautiful images. But to get to us Hannah had to overcome what some people might classify as obstacles. Hannah suffered an injury to her left eye as a child that resulted in the loss of her vision and iris. She also battled her weight over the years and recently transformed herself through healthy eating and exercise. Although she was a little nervous at first, Hannah soon relaxed and we all had a blast. We'll let the images below speak for themselves.

Getting a Little Mountain Air {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Photographers}

The sun was shining, the sky was bright blue and the temps were up above freakin' frigid on Sunday, February 21st, as Allan headed up to Ober Gatlinburg Freestyle Terrain with Kendrick Kirk of MotoHD to shoot the Sunday Session 1.2 competition. Ober Gatlinburg and The Board Room got a great selection of images from the event and here is just a sampling of the photos captured by ALM Photo and MotoHD. We Like Being Different! {Knoxville Professional Photographers | Allan and Lisa Mueller}

Professional photographers all know how to take photographs, some are better at composition, lighting, post-processing or posing, but in general, to be a professional and get paid you have to be a pretty darned good photographer. So if every other professional photographer in your area is fairly great at taking a photograph, how do you set yourself apart from everyone else and create imagery that will get attention?

Offering an unbelievable experience to your customers is one way, but you aren't the only one who will be doing this. Delivering exceptional photographs and related products at a reasonable price isn't going to have folks banging down your door either. So, now you are sitting there trying to figure out how your photography business is different than the photographers down the street. Once you come up with some ideas, think about how you will execute on them. Chances are, in order to really and truly set yourself apart, you are going to have to invest a chunk of your hard-earned cash.

Several years ago we attended Imaging USA, which is the annual convention of the Professional Photographers of America, in Tampa, FL and we saw something that we were sure would set us apart from all the other photographers in Knoxville. What did we see? The Scene Machine from Virtual Backgrounds! We happened upon the Virtual Background booth and had a wonderful conversation with Shirley Robinson, a photographer from Colorado who was working the booth. She had been using the Scene Machine for her boudoir photography business for many years and provided us with a lot of great information. This conversation led to lots of conversations between Allan and I and ultimately we decided to purchase a Scene Machine and 10' X 10' background.

We decided to set ourselves apart from all the other photographers in the Knoxville area by providing our client's with a virtually limitless collection of backgrounds. Not only can we photograph client's anywhere they choose outdoors, we also have hundreds of choices of backgrounds, featuring both indoor and outdoor scenes, for them to choose. How many different backgrounds can you incorporate into an hour session? Four or five? Maybe six. How many do you think our clients can have? The answer: A lot!

Right about now, you are probably curious how the Virtual Background System works and although we like to tell people it's magic, you can follow this link for a complete explanation. Images in this post are from yesterday's session and feature the use of a colored gel with the Virtual Background System. These images also feature Photoshop actions and effects available from design house. We'll be sharing more images shot incorporating the Virtual Background System on our Facebook page over the next few weeks.

Focus on Felines :: Mr. Honey

Cats have amazing personalities and Mr. Honey is certainly no exception. With a tilt of his head or the squint of an eye his face can convey a range of emotion. Yesterday this handsome feline chose to sit contently and allow Lisa to capture these pensive images in natural light. The light playing on his golden coat is absolutely beautiful against the dark background. His intent, yet introspective expression leaves you wondering what he is thinking about. We ♥ Birthdays! A lot! Actually, Lisa's (that's me!) birthday is considered a national holiday around Creativity Central. It's also the day we got married on in 2004 and it's the one day I don't work each year. Sometimes we take a little vacation, sometimes I take a little vacation, and sometimes the Super Bowl falls on my birthday and Allan throws me an awesome suprise birthday party complete with a Hello Kitty cake! Getting Schooled : Continuing Education for Professional Photographers {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

It's hard to believe we haven't even been home from Imaging USA for a week and already we have begun implementing some key things we learned from industry leaders during the fabulous classes we took over three long days at Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. Education is extremely important to ALM Photo and we take advantage of the annual conventions held by Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) as often as possible. Last week at Imaging USA, PPA's annual convention, there were classes geared toward wedding and portrait photography as well as many business classes on topics ranging from social media to workflow. Like many other professions, such as healthcare professionals, real estate agents, and teachers it is necessary for professional photographers to participate in continuing education in order to stay up-to-date on trends, learn new skills, be informed about equipment and find new ways to keep our photography fresh. As I am writing this Allan and I are watching Master Photographer Doug Gordon's Bride and Groom Flow Posing DVD (well, Allan is obviously watching it more closely than I am!) so we can learn from his techniques for keeping the bride and groom moving while shooting them before and/or after their wedding ceremony. A photographer can never know everything, especially one who tells you they are a professional. Each year Allan and I take several workshops on a variety of topics like lighting, posing, and marketing as well as ones focused on specific genres such as glamour, boudior, or weddings. We also have a vast library of books and DVDs that we read and then constantly refer to when we need to determine the best way to handle a particular lighting situation, posing or edit images.

I must admit this post was started as just a little update of what we have been doing since we returned from Imaging USA, but then I realized many of you, the non-professional photographers and photography clients, may not realize the importance of continuing education. Ask your photographer how and where they were educated. Ask them if they keep memberships with any photography affiliations. Many successful professional photographers do not have a degree in photography from an accredited educational institution (we don't!) but that does not mean the photographer has not been properly educated in their craft. Make sure you are working with a photographer that is open to learning and isn't a 'know-it-all'. Several years ago we started Next Level Photography Focus Group, a collective of Knoxville-area photographers (amatuer, hobbyist, part-time pro and full-time pro) who meet the first and third Wednesday of each month to discuss a pre-determined topic and share and learn with one another. The group, which also has a Facebook group, has grown to include over one hundred members and around 15 members regularly attend the lunch meetings. This group has been the jump-start some photographers needed to help them determine whether or not they are ready to become true professionals. Everyone learns something new each meeting. The key is learning and sharing!

Allan and I love what we do, capturing the moments of your life that will last forever, and couldn't do it as well as we do if we didn't take the time to improve our skills and learn something new every day. Our update will come in a future post since I did seem to get a little carried away about our opinion of the importance of continuing education. I almost forgot to mention that the next workshop we are attending is No Limits: Knoxville by local award-winning photographer Andy Armstrong. Here is information about the workshop for any photographers who may be interested in learning more about lighting, posing, working with client and Photoshop. Please share your thoughts on this topic so I can share with the Next Level Photography Focus Group members.

Allan and I have returned home from Imaging USA, the annual convention of Professional Photographers of America, with our heads full of knowledge and a plan to implement five things we learned from the industry's best photographers and business people. Below is a video of a bird's eye view of the Expo for those of you who didn't attend. We will be sharing our experience and information at the Next Level Photography Focus Group lunch meeting on January 20th at 12pm at Makino Japanese Buffet. Other local photographers who attended will share as well so you won't want to miss it.

It's Time to Shut Up and Ski! at Eskimo Escapades {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Off to a Fast Start in 2010! Finish Line Racing Track Days at Jennings GP {Allan and Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

ALM Photo is off to a fast start in 2010! Fast motorcycles that is! Here are some images from our four days shooting motorcycle track days for Finish Line Racing at Jennings GP in frosty Jennings, Florida just over the Georgia border. Our mornings started with a chill but moving quick to catch the action warmed us up in no time. Allan manned the twisties over around turn 10 while Lisa hunkered down in turns 1 and 2. It was a lot of fun and we would love to have the opportunity to shoot this type of event again. We certainly have the gear, the stamina and the skill!

Allan and I met all seven family members downtown and we wandered around Krutch Park for a bit in the freezing cold the day after Thanksgiving to capture some fun shots. Halloween night wasn't just for the kiddies dressed up for trick-or-treating, it was also a night for some wet and wild wakeboarding action on the rails at Wild Wing Cafe. KnoxWake and The WakeShop at American Boat Center teamed up for Rail O Ween 3 1/3, which should have been called Rain O Ween due to the steady downpour which did break long enough to bust out a beautiful sunset and rainbow.

Allan and I had a fabulous Sunday afternoon on Norris Lake with our friends BA, Brooke and Harper. It had been about two years since Allan wakeboarded and he was eager to try out his new board. As you can see from the photos, Allan can still rock the backroll! He even had a chance to surf behind the boat which he hadn't done for 4 or 5 years. Thanks guys for a very relaxing afternoon on the lake! Allan is only a little sore today and he sure did sleep last night!

I love bubbles! I love blowing soap bubbles on a wand (I even have a fancy schmancy beaded wand), I love blowing bubble gum bubbles, I love drawing bubbles (especially around important words), I love the bubbles in the hot tub, and I love how children react to bubbles the first time they experience them. Here are some images from an adorable little boys first encounter of the bubbly kind. His big sister is still trying to get the hang of blowing bubbles.

Santeetlah :: Early Morning Wakeboarding Session {Allan & Lisa Mueller | Knoxville Porfessional Photographers}

Recently a bleary-eyed Allan awoke at the crack of dawn, loaded up the Prius with an assortment of cameras and lenses and headed to Sateetlah Lake to photograph several local wakeboarders during an early morning session. Conditions were perfect for both riding and shooting and Allan was able to get a lot of great images from a chase boat. Enjoy!
