Always Learning {ALM Photo | Knoxville Professional Photographers}

Allan and I headed to Nashville early Saturday morning to attend a wonderfully inspiring seminar with acclaimed nature photographer and Canon Explorer of Light, George Lepp. George was a delightful speaker and his wife, Kathryn was a pleasure to speak with also. George shared many of his tips and tricks that he has learned and perfected in his many years as a nature photographer for magazines such as Outdoor Photographer. Allan and I are eager to try some of the techniques we learned so be on the lookout for those images when we post them here.
Education is important to us and we invest a lot of time in staying up-to-date in the professional photography industry. We are continually educating ourselves by attending seminars focusing on photography and business, traveling to association conventions and trade shows, listening to photography-related CDs and podcasts, watching DVDs on posing, lighting and other techniques, as well as reading the latest industry publications. As full-time experienced photographers we are committed to professional business practices and developing our skills and techniques as photographers. It is our goal to always be learning something new and exciting to share with our clients.
The weather was beautiful Sunday and I couldn't resist heading outside to capture images of the dogwoods, bleeding hearts and azaleas that are blooming right outside our house before they succumbed to the freezing temperatures predicted for our area tonight. This post contains a few of my favorite images from the weekend. Enjoy!
