50th Annual Gala for Knoxville's American Advertising Awards

On Saturday, February 28th, 2015, Knoxville's best of the best in advertising donned their finest threads and made their way to Downtown Hilton Hotel for a snow-free evening of photographs, food and well, you guessed it, awards at the 50th Annual Gala for Knoxville's American Advertising Awards.

Allan was there photographing folks as they arrived and covered the awards ceremony too. There were a lot of our friends and acquaintances in attendance and Allan said I really should have come along to chat with everyone. Congratulations to all of the winners!

If you would like to view/free download/purchase prints of the images from the event click here. There are a lot of them!

Click here for more information about AAF Knoxville and for details about the 50th Annual Gala. I'm not sure where they are posting the award winners, but I'm sure you will find them on the website soon.

Oh, and don't forget to give us a call to photograph your next social or company event! From red carpets to fundraisers to corporate retreats, we can cover it all. Give me a call at 865-406-3870 or send me an email for a quote.

A View From Above

It's a bird. It's a plane. It's the newest, and quite possibly the coolest, tool in the ALM Photo arsenal.

If you follow ALM Photo on Facebook, Twitter {and this Twitter too} or either one of us on Instagram, here and here, then you probably know we have a Phantom multirotor aerial filming system {aka a quadcopter} for shooting video and still images utilizing a GoPro camera. Allan has been practicing with several smaller helicopters for over a year, perfecting his flying skills up so he can easily maneuver the quadcopter through tight spaces and in smooth, sweeping arcs. The first five images in this post were captured while we were at a vendor event at Crescent Bend in Knoxville a couple of weeks ago. Pretty cool, huh?

Be sure to visit us at the links above {and below} to see what's happening at ALM Photo as well as more of our work!

Here are a couple of behind-the-scenes shots of Allan capturing video at another venue, Castleton Farms. This finished video will be used to show prospective clients the beauty and layout of the this beautiful wedding location in Loudon.

My job was to keep an eye on the copter with the binoculars.

Check out a short behind-the-scenes video of Allan flying the copter at Castleton Farms here.

We'll be updating our website with information and pricing for our aerial video and photography services very soon!
